WHAT IS REIKI?

Reiki (pronounced “ray key”) is a natural therapy that uses healing energy to balance, increase well-being and support healing.

Reiki is a universal energy developed in Japan in the 1800’s by Dr. Mikao Usui.  Reiki works to promote healing on a physical, emotional, mental and spiritual level.  It has been used to help relieve headaches, insomnia, fatigue, anxiety, sciatica, sinuses and repairing wounds.

During a Reiki session, universal healing energy flows through the hands of the giver into the receivers body.  The Reiki practitioner'shands will be positioned above the body directing the flow and balancing the energies.  Reiki is a wonderful addition to any medical or holistic treatment.  Many hospitals are now using Reiki because patients have shown speedier recovery and deeper healing.

Reiki can also be done long distance... referred to as "Distance Reiki".  Reiki practitioners are able to send the healing energy of Reiki though time and space.  Providing the same healing benefits to the receiver, even from miles and miles away!
